A few weeks ago, Dan and I both had the opportunity to go to Jack's school to see him receive his ribbon for participating in the Young Author's book writing contest.
We were oh so surprised though that his book titled, "The Silliest Sea Turtle" won third place in all of the 6 2nd grade classrooms!
The gym was too dark and I was too far away to get any good pictures of Jack receiving his reward, but here he is getting up to get his award!
After the ceremony was over, we had time for a quick photo! Here is proud Daddy with Jack and his winnings!
And, here I am with my second grade author!
