Toy Story Time!!!

We took the boys to see Toy Story 3 last month (I'm still trying to catch up!) -although, I honestly think that Dan and I were more excited to see it than they were!

It was the 3D version, which was great for all of us, except Luke, who kept taking the glasses off!!! Then he would complain that the screen was "fuzzy." Ah, to be 3 and not get the idea of a 3D movie!!!

Here is Jack rocking his shades!
Nick enjoying his icee and SO not wanting to take his eyes off the screen to smile at me...can you tell???
And here is Luke with HIS icee...the darn icee that went right through him so he had to go TWICE to the bathroom during the movie!!!
I loved this movie! It was too cute! Glad I had three excuses to go...Jack, Nick and Luke, although there were quite a few adults there without any kids!

Fantastic Father's Day!

We celebrated Father's Day at Jackie and Steve's house this year on the Saturday before Father's Day! Here is MY Dad, Papa after he opened his brand new weed eater...I know it isn't the funnest gift in the world, but that's what he requested!!! We love you, Papa!!!

Notice Dan in the background cleaning up a spot on the floor...what the heck, why doesn't he do that at our house???
Sunday morning we celebrated with Dan. We first went to church and then the boys and I went shopping. We decided we were going to redecorate the downstairs bathroom to fit better with Dan's Yankee Room! The boys helped me pick everything out and they did a great job!!! Here is Luke working diligently on writing his name on the card!
The card definitely made the gift. It essentially said that if you want some quiet time to yourself, post the card on the bathroom door...it says, Warning, Keep Out...Deadly Fumes - Do Not Enter!
And here is the brand new Yankee bathroom!!! All blue and white with some red pops of color!!! It turned out great...and it actually was really fun having the boys help me pick things out. They were so proud of themselves, which was great! Check out all their smiles!!! Dan loved it too! Thanks for being such a great dad for our boys!!! :) We love you!

A MAGICal Day!

The day after we returned home from Mexico, Dan and I (okay, it was really more ME!) decided to take the kids to the Magic House for a little family time!
The Magic House had opened a large new exhibit area and we had yet to visit there! We arrived early, hoping for a calm morning, but everyone had the same idea as we did! :) Our first stop was at the ice cream cart - where Jack and Nick were happy to serve up some ice cream for Daddy!
We hit the mirror room next! Ah, brotherly love!
It's a race to the top on the pulley system!!! Too bad Luke has the hard pulley!
We quickly moved through the "old" section of the Magic House to the new "stuff!" The boys LOVED this fabulous Jack and the bean stalk climber!
I LOVED this new court room exhibit, as my favorite show is The People's Court!!! Ah, my dream for Jack (or any of my little men!) to be the next great TV court room judge!
And here was one of Dan's faves...science stuff! I suppose this is his dream...Luke as a science nerd! :)
Nick liked the construction area the best!!! He looks good in his hard hat!
All three boys LOVE the 3 story slide! The only problem is that Luke has never been old enough to actually go down on it...until now!!! Here is a great shot of all three boys SUPER excited because Luke got to fly down on the slide! :)
After all the excitement, Luke and I decided to settle down with a great book!!!
To end our magical day, we drove about 2 minutes to DUNKIN DONUTS!!! Here is Dan enjoying his gluten filled vanilla cream!
And the boys all just as happy to be at DD as they were at the Magic House!

In the end it was an amazing day with the fam! I'm SO glad to be home!!! :)

Travel Troubles...

Monday morning I woke up and was definitely ready to go! I loved being at the resort with just Dan and no boys, but oh how I missed them!

Remember that champagne we got on our first day there? No, well, we kinda forgot about it too! Dan decided we should have a quick sip before we left!
Happy 10th Anniversary, Dan!
We got ourselves checked out and to the airport with no problems but then we hit a little snag...it seems the plane in St. Louis was essentially not fit to fly, so another plane and crew had to fly from New York, pick up the St. Louis folks headed to Cancun and then send us back to St. Louis. Needless to say, our flight was QUITE delayed...by more than 2 hours! We did manage to pass the time though! Dan worked on his crossword puzzles...
I listened to music and here is Angie painting her nails! (Smart girl!)
After Dan was searched AGAIN (he was also searched at the STL airport and we had our luggage searched when we landed in Cancun!) we got on the plane but found that our seats were taken...WHAT??? The flight attendant says that she will look for two more seats...UGH!!! I was beginning to think that Dan and I would never get home...until that is they put us up in the "Preferred Club"...complete with blankets, pillows and big comfy chairs!!!
Here is the window view from the airplane above Cancun...

Compared to the window view from the airplane above St. Louis!

Home may not be a tropical paradise but look at these cuties I get to see everyday!!! I truly LOVE my life! ;)

Our Last Hurrah!

Sunday morning we again were up bright and early and since we had some time before breakfast, I opted to start packing up our stuff! Thanks to Nana and Papa for loaning us these great travel bags that suck the air out of your clothes...and thanks to Dan for packing all of our stuff up so neatly!
Once we were done it was time for breakfast!!! Check out the spread!
After breakfast it was again time for the beach!!!
Here is Dan's Corona commercial shot!
And then it was our last lunch! Of course we had to find our guy, Gustavo! He hooked us up with some amazing drinks and nachos!
And we ended our lunch with a shot and picture with our favorite waiter!
Then it was back to our rooms for a quick nap and back out to dinner!
We even caught a Mexican show that the resort puts on, but then it was back to our rooms for some sleep! We had to meet the van to take us back to the airport around 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning!

Soccer Saturday!

Saturday morning Dan and I were up bright and early and again got in some good beach time! It was looking a little cloudy, so we started to head in...just before it down poured!!! Thankfully the resort had a fabulous "music lounge" with a huge projector TV...set and ready for the US vs. England soccer game! We were one of the first folks there, but before long the room was filled! It felt very much like a Superbowl party with all the typical appetizers and beer...only thing better was that the waiters continued to work, so we never had to get up! :)

Bob, Angie and Dan getting ready to watch the game!
Still chilling in our swimming suits, and enjoying a beer! :)
The game got awfully heated with a lot of smack talk between the American and English there, but ended in a 1 - 1 tie. It was great though, we even had American flags to wave! They seriously thought of everything there!!! That night we went to the Japanese restaurant for the hibachi show! Our chef was of course, quit the showman!!!

The dinner was AMAZING!! Here was a quick couple shot before we headed out to our bar by the ocean for an after dinner drink!
The rain certainly didn't spoil our day! We just prayed that it would stay away from our last day in paradise!

Fun Friday!!!

Friday morning, Dan woke up bright and early and headed to the spa with Angie, as both wanted a second massage! I hit the gym while they were gone, but before I met them for lunch, I received a call from the concierge. You see, I had left a picture frame I had just bought in the restaurant that we had eaten at the night before, so Dan and Angie stopped by the concierge desk to see if anyone had found it. They didn't have the frame then, but I guess once the cleaning crew came in that morning, someone found it, so the concierge called me back and tells me that my "husband and another woman stopped by before they went to the spa together..." HA...too funny! Guess they are always watching out for "funny business" there! :)

Anyhow, both enjoyed their massage and we all met up for lunch and more beach time!!! Here I am with yet another colorful drink!
When we returned to our room, we found this cute little towel figure!!!
And before we knew it we were back eating dinner!!! Here is Dan with his lamb! He loved it!!!

Five days gone already...3 more to go...

Cruisin' in Cancun

Thursday morning - Day 4 - of vaca, we woke up bright and early and hopped in a van (and enjoyed quite the crazy 40 min ride) to head out to Cancun for our Royal Garrafon cruise! This was definitely a "touristy" area as there were boats leaving for all kinds of different adventures. I liked the look of these...
Our boat though, was a two story, (kinda) air conditioned boat that brought us over to the Isles de Mujeres for a day of fun. Here are Dan and I posed in front of the big ship.
We enjoyed breakfast on the boat...
...and then landed here - in this tropical paradise! Check out the water, it was beautiful!
The only thing I didn't like about the island was all of the iguanas running around! Dan was brave enough to get close enough to one so I could take his picture.
After we walked around a bit we got in line to zip line over the beautiful water! Notice Dan's nervous smile BEFORE the zip line???
They told us we couldn't take our cameras on the course, so I have this picture of a random person sailing through the sky! It was great though! Dan even liked it and he isn't a fan of heights or water!
After eating lunch on the island, we shuttled over to the downtown shopping district. It was oh so colorful!
And oh - so intense as vendors would come out of their air conditioned shops luring us in with the cool air and shots of tequila!
Once the shopping trip was over - and we had found some fab souvenirs for the boys, we headed back to Cancun and back to our hotel. It was definitely time for dinner, after our LONG day of travel! We opted for French that night! Portions were SUPER small, but delish! Another great day in the books!
