On the Sunday before Memorial Day (yes, I have TONS to catch up on!) we headed out to Grant's Farm with Nana, Papa, Uncle Bryan and Alyssa! The weather was great and thankfully we arrived just a bit after they opened so we didn't have a very long wait to get onto the tram!
Here are Alyssa, Nick and Jack as they were happily waiting to board the tram! (Luke was a bit "fussy" and wanted to be held by ME the entire time we were in line!) The majority of the wait was in shade...too bad the sun was peaking through all the trees right in poor Jack's eyes - hence the squint!
Once we got to the front of the line, all four little ones wanted to get a glimpse of the tram! They couldn't wait to board!!!
And we are on!!! Here are Uncle Bryan, Alyssa, Jack and Papa chillin and ready to ride on the tram!!!
Alyssa came prepared with her binoculars to get some close up shots of all the animals we saw!!!
Luke and I must have found something good here...on this particular trip we saw buffalo, longhorn cattle, horses, ostriches, geese, coi fish, and even the boys' favorite - the oreo cow!
Once we got off the tram we immediately headed for the carousel! All four kids loved it!
After the carousel, we of course had to head over to feed the goats! We typically feed them from outside of the pin as the goats are a bit "hungry" and like to nibble on anything...shirts, shorts, and the like! However, this time, Jack decided that he wanted to go in the pin with Uncle Bryan! Here is Jack with all of the thirsty goats!!! Good thing he had two bottles!
In just a few seconds, Jack's bottles were empty but the goats were still hungry...he opted to get out of the pin and check out how Alyssa and the boys were doing! They were all having a blast feeding their goats from behind the fence! Notice Uncle Bryan is still hanging in the pin with the goats! :)
Our next stop was the animal show...this year it was themed on "America's got Talent" - Animals Got Talent...cute! The kids and adults all waited patiently for the show to begin!
The kids were all hungry after the show so we headed to the sno cone stand! They were great! The kids all sat quietly and contently for over 15 minutes...thank goodness the sno cones were BIG!
Of course the kids' favorite part about the sno cones were the fact that they turned their tongues different colors! Picture time!
Since the kids all were so excited about having their picture taken with their colorful tongues, I ran with the whole picture idea and headed to the "picture spot" at the farm and had them smile for the camera yet again...and they did it!
Next we saw the camels and of course the kids wanted to feed those big, smelly animals - can you feel the love I have for them! I love this pic of Luke...he looks so little, and totally not afraid of the camel - very much unlike his mom!
Since the adults hadn't eaten anything and since the farm provides FREE AB products, we opted to stay for lunch!
While SOME of the adults enjoyed a few of the beverages, I hauled the kids around to look at the horses in the stables around the tier garden...and snapped this cute pic!
The last stop on our farm visit was visiting the Clydesdales! The kids always love seeing these enormous and beautiful horses!
What an amazing trip - great weather, great sights and definitely great family - all easily proven by all the hundreds of pictures I took!!!
