Fezziwig Fun

After we finished eating with the Walters on Saturday night, we ran home, dropped the boys off (thanks to Ms. Kristin, Maddie and a friend Desiree) and headed to Fezziwigs. A very cool, east coast like wine and tea store that has musicians there every once in a while. The Gagens, Jeff and Erin, had invited us to join them for this night of Irish music, wine and cheese. We had a great table in the back, right next to the fireplace. The entire time Dan and I were there it totally felt like we were in a little place in Greenwich Village in New York. I didn't want to bust out my camera as we were with some "high class" folks, but I just had to...for the blog!!!

Here I was trying the camera without the flash! To my surprise it worked! This wine was delish! Dan and I drank the whole bottle (easily!) and then Dan enjoyed some Irish ale!
Here is a picture of the two musicians. They were really good and even had a few sing alongs (song sheets included!) Of course they did this towards the end of the night once everyone had had a few drinks (more and louder singers, that way!)
Here is a picture Dan took of us (as he was singing...look at his mouth!). Before we were married (and even right after) we would ALWAYS take pictures of the two of us like this. You know, put your heads together, Dan holds his arm out as far as possible and then snap...luckily this one was okay!!!
After the musicians stopped we did a little shopping! I ended up getting some AWESOME tea! This one honestly tastes like you are eating lemon cake with vanilla icing! Unbelievable! Dan found some wine (with the help of Jeff!)...needless to say we now have a very stocked wine rack! :)

Mmmmm, the tea sounds yummy! I love Hayman & Hill, I noticed the bottle on the table, it's one of my favorites!

I seriously love this place! I'm glad you and Dan had a good time - you deserved a kid free night!

Ok. It is so hard to reach you - Miss Amy! I had to sign up for this Google Blog thing, which I apparently already had an account... Anyway, Dawn and I are coming to St. Louis and we want to see you guys. I have sent emails and a text to the only phone number I have for you guys (could be an old one). I know you don't check your emails or mine don't go to your inbox, so I'm trying to reach you through this. Wish me luck! Maybe the luck of the Irish is still with me. Hope to see you. Check your email.
