Jack is now in the first grade and is responsible for writing a book for the Young Authors Program. He has had his book written in his mind since we were given the assignment last month, but Saturday was the day he put his idea to paper. It really turned out great. I'm going to take it to school tomorrow to laminate it and use our binding machine to bind it. Jack is so proud of himself and I honestly can't believe he did everything by himself!
The book did take quite a while to do, especially since Jack tends to be a bit OCD and I would even say he is a perfectionist...I wonder where he got that from? :) Anyhow, I realized that Nick would be happy watching Power Rangers, but I was worried about what to do with Luke, so that Jack could concentrate! Luckily Luke wants to do everything that his big brothers are doing, so first he decided to color....
...and then for all who know Buka, know that he is BY FAR my best eater so, I did what all moms would have done and fed him some good ole mac and cheese. But, he didn't just eat one package of Easy Mac...
He ate two!!!!
He finished off his lunch with some blueberries...another fun time waster was moving all these blueberries from their bowl that I had put them in after I washed them, to his beloved "penguin bowl."
By the time Luke was finished, so was Jack...what a great way to spend a sick Saturday at home!

Oh man, that means we are going to have to write 2 books... YIKES! I better start asking them now about it!!! ;-)
P.S. I'm glad to see at least 1 of the Morra boys can hang with the Walter girls! Do I see a pie eating contest in our future?!?!?
If there is a pie eating contest, then Mia will need to be included. For lunch today she had 2 hot dogs, 2 cheese slices, and 2 servings of grapes! We have some good eaters, don't we?
