So I have been a fan of the Amazing Race ever since Dan and I moved back to IL and my parents were hooked on it (as with all other reality tv shows!) Anyhow, my sister, Jackie, and I always talk about being on the show together...we watch and discuss who would do which challenge, etc.
Well, this season, they have a 22 year old man, named Luke, who is Deaf. He is racing with his mom, Margie! On Sunday, after my Zumba class and Jack's basketball practice, we headed home, ate dinner, gave the boys their baths/showers and sat down to watch. It was SO cool...we were all sitting their cheering on Luke and Margie and, the best part was that they actually came in first place. I guess I'm just totally emotional b/c I just started crying when Phil, the host, signed, "You are Team 1!" I know I'm not Deaf, but I felt so connected to the Deaf world at that exact moment, having had 2 Deaf children! It was truly AMAZING! I know we will be tuning in every Sunday night!!!
Here is the link to their bio...

Yes it is cool watching Luke and his mom on the program. I actually could understand some of the sign. I want to know who would have jump off the bridge, you or Jackie. I think it had to be Jackie, don't think you could have do it Amy (sorry)
Maybe you will be able to the next detour or road block.
I'm so glad you're watching!! Robb and I were watching on Sunday and we both laughed when we saw that him and his Mom were racing and his name was Luke!! Too cool. They are officially my favorite couple.
