Fun In Philly!

After a phenomenal Tuesday at Sesame Place, we were headed down to Baltimore, MD, but decided to take a quick sight seeing stop in Philadelphia! Our first stop was Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Here is the fam in front of Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed! There were guards all over the place, and if we had even attempted to cross the road toward the building, they start yelling at you, not sure if they were on some crazy power trip or what, but that has certainly changed since we were there last!
The Liberty Bell (and the flash of my camera!)
After we walked around for a bit, we decided to hop back into our car and drive to see some sights as the sky was not looking so great and we didn't want to get caught in a huge downpour! We drove by Betsy Ross's house (cute!) but my favorite place we saw was the restaurant where Dan proposed to me! It is the cutest Italian restaurant! The last time we were there was when my parents had flown into Philly to see us (right after 9-11-01!) and we shared our news of our pregnancy (Jack!). This place is phenomenal and was great to see!!!
We drove through the city and parked at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Talk about the city of brotherly love (that is Philly, right?), here are my three sons in front of a statue there.
The museum may have great artwork, but we (and the majority of tourists!) remember the movie, Rocky, and his running to the top! They even had a Rocky statue! This is for you, Papa!!!
And here are the stairs! Notice all the runners on them! They totally made me feel lazy!!!
We all did make it to the top, not running, but I was carrying Luke, so that should totally count for something! :)
We jumped back in the car and traveled the 2 hours to Baltimore to another Sheraton (see a theme there!). It was right down the road from the Oriole Stadium, so that was cool too! Stay tuned for Wednesdays trip around the Inner Harbor in Baltimore!
