Life's A Beach!

Sunday morning we got up and moving a tad bit later than usual and actually were kind of huffing it to our old church's 11 a.m. service! I SO miss that church! Don't get me wrong, I definitely feel at home with our current church, but we just totally bonded with Pastor Schoenberg and his wife, Melinda. So much so that we even chatted with them FOREVER after church (which was GREAT!) and even had a quick picture snapped with them! We definitely miss you guys!
After church we again headed to the beach (ah, the good ole days as that is exactly what Dan and I would do on Sundays!) Kristin snapped a cute pic of our fam on the boardwalk!
We were able to meet up with good friends, John and Laurie and their two beautiful children, Ava and David! We had a nice lunch at Martell's right on the beach! The whole side toward the beach had open windows and the breeze was amazing! The waitress snapped this pic of our entire group!
After lunch we headed to Jenkinson's Aquarium, again, right on the boardwalk. It was a small, but really nice aquarium!!! The kids even got to make a cute little bracelet that they all actually got into! Here they are showing off the projects!
While we were in the aquarium all the kids kept asking for was to "play some games!" We finally gave in and headed back outside! Ava got REALLY lucky and won 3 prizes!!! Maddie and Kristin helped the boys win their Pokemon animals. Luke won his Nemo fish on his own...too bad he didn't want to hold it with his hands! Nice, Buka!
As soon as the kids were finished with the games, John offered to buy everyone some ice cream!!! Here is our group searching the boardwalk for the cool, tasty treat!
Ice cream and Italian ices found! Thanks, John!!! :)
Once the ice cream was all finished, the beach was once again calling us! Here are John and Dan, great friends since high school!
Laurie stayed on the boardwalk to feed a hungry David, but John graciously took this picture of our traveling group!
The weather was still pretty cool, even though it was sunny and it was super windy, but we had to take the opportunity to at least touch the water!!! Here is Luke's first taste of the Atlantic Ocean!!! He LOVED it and kept saying, "water, more water!" He was certainly not happy once we told him that we were heading back to the boardwalk!
Jack was totally like a little fish!!! He loved the water, just like his soon to be swim instructor, Maddie!
Notice poor Nick is a bit wet. He sure did fall into a major wave!!! Thankfully he too loved the water and didn't complain about being all wet! Of course, it made clean up fun, as he decided to make a sand angel as we were walking back to the boardwalk!
All in all another wonderful day on the Jersey Shore! We hugged John, Laurie, Ava, and David, jumped in our van and headed to Sesame Place, about an hour away in Langhorne, Pennsylvania! Stay tuned for fabulous pics of ELMO!!!

Can I just say that I LOVE that Nick made a sand angel!!! You better watch out if you ever come across any wet cement!
