Monday morning we woke up well rested in ANOTHER Sheraton in Langhorne, PA. We quickly got dressed in our swimming suits, hopped on the hotel's free shuttle (yeah!) and headed to Sesame Place! Here we are in the front of the park with Snuffy, Elmo, and Big Bird carved out of bushes! Rain was gone, but the sun sure was bright! :)
Since we didn't have room in our Sienna to pack a stroller, we rented one at the park! They only had double strollers, which worked out beautifully, as demonstrated by the picture below!
Sesame Place is the perfect place for our family! It has rides (all that Luke can ride on, with the exception of the roller coaster!), a water park, and cutesy shows! It is super clean and VERY family friendly! Here Kristin and Luke enjoy the Elmo flying fish ride!
After spending the majority of the morning riding rides (with MINIMAL lines as the children on the East Coast are still in schools!), we had some hungry little ones! What a wonderful snack...an Elmo pretzel!
The little snack sent the boys into true hunger as they all asked for lunch! We hit "Elmo's Eatery." All the boys enjoyed a healthy lunch as well as, you guessed it, an Elmo cupcake!
After lunch it was time for more rides and then the Rockin' Around the Block parade! Here is our fam, waiting for the parade to get to us, as we found a spot under a tree as it was just starting to sprinkle!
Of course all the characters made an appearance at the parade! Here Jack, Maddie, and Nick all say 'hi' to one of their favorites, Grover!
After the parade, we opted to hit some water rides. We definitely had to plan this as this meant that I had to remove all Jack's and Luke's hearing devices (3 hearing aids and 1 cochlear implant), put them in a locker and haul myself back to my family who were waiting for the water!!! Kristin and I opted out of the majority of water rides as it was too cold! Thankfully Dan (and Maddie!) were happy to ride all the rides!
Buka was only able to do these rides a few times because I pulled him out because of the temperature! Here he is all bundled up in the towel!
Jack turned into such a little fish! He did not want to leave the water. Thanks again, Daddy for staying in the cold water with him!
To pull Jack from the water, we went immediately to a show. Luke was one of the only kids clapping along to the music...and, he didn't even have a hearing device on (as the lockers were too far away to get the implant before the show!)
Notice the sun came back. It was still rather cool, so we all got dressed and again rode more rides. By now, with the cool temp and the little rain that we had, the park was fairly empty...no lines at all!!! The kids could even stay on the rides they were on more than once! Here is one of Luke's favorite rides...he calls it "Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down," which pretty much describes what you do on it! :)
The boys loved this "Cookie Monster Mountain!" Luke could even make it to the top!
We closed the park down at 8, got shuttled back to our hotel and ordered pizza. Check this puppy out. I swear it weighed at least 5 pounds. It was a true NY pizza (about 30 minutes north of Philly!). This was a buffalo wing pizza with HUGE pieces of chicken. Unbelievable!
Time to sleep. We have another Sesame Day tomorrow!!!
